Model WH-1. This KDF/GAC unit connects to the main water line to filter the entire house - all faucets, showers, and baths will have clean tasting, filtered water! The water first passes through a high-flow 1 micron sediment pre-filter. This deep pleated cartridge has maximum filtration with minimum pressure loss (only 0.25 psi at 8 gallons per minute). Then the water enters the main tank where KDF and granulated activated carbon (GAC). All the water in your home - kitchen, bath, showers, and laundry are filtered! The media filters approximately 300,000 gallons of water (about 3 years).
This unit has an 8 gallon per minute flow rate. There is a 3 year prorated warranty on media, and 5 year full replacement on the hardware. The main tank is fiberglass reinforced with a polyethylene liner and is 7" x 35". The pre-filter housing made from polypropylene and is 7.25" x 14". Components are NSF listed and rated for pressures up to 125 psi. Both have 1" female pipe thread inlet and outlet, but can be adapted down to 3/4" plumbing. Since it requires cutting the main water line, a professional plumber may be needed. This unit is designed primarily for municipal water that is free of iron and sulfur.
